In fact, aside from going to hear business leaders speak (which I always found hugely inspiring and battery-charging), it’s almost the only way to glean wisdom and advice in a risk-free way. (The rest of our knowledge is acquired ‘on the job’, learning by mistakes and – we hope – successes.) But reading the stories and sharing the knowledge of others who’ve not only been there, done that and ironed the T-shirt but probably put the T-shirt back in the wash, got it out again and ironed it once more has always, for me, been an eye-opening, thought-provoking part of finding my way as an entrepreneur.
